This has been a pretty good day. Here’s my favorite picture:
Homer: If we’ve learned one thing from The Amazing Colossal Man and Grasshopperus, it’s that radiation make stuff grow real big real fast.
Marge: Didn’t Grasshopperus try to eat Chad Everett?
Homer: Only because he tried to reason with it.
“Can I ask… I mean… um…” Maria stammered.
“Yes, I was born this way,” said John, used to the inevitable questions. He gave her his rote response. “No, it doesn’t hurt. Yes, I can see just fine. No, you can’t pick one. No, I’d prefer if you didn’t try to smell them. Yes, they cover every inch of my body.”
“I’m sorry. I don’t think it’s going to work out,” said Maria, apologetically.
“Yeah, I know. Nobody wants a flower man.”
“No, that’s not it. It’s just that I’m allergic.”
It’s really cool that black children now know it’s possible for them to grow up and become President. Of course, for some, it will be a bigger stretch…
That statement transcends ethnicity…
